What currencies do you support?

We support payments in over 135 currencies. We invoice in local currency for the UK (£), Europe (€), Australia (AUD) and the US (USD). All other countries will be invoiced in USD.; the exchange rate is calculated at the point of payment and we apply the daily mid-market rate (the average between the buy and sell price of currency). Customers may be charged a foreign exchange fee by their credit card company or bank. Get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Which countries does Trail support?

Trail is available in nearly every country. Our support team are based in the UK, so customer service response times will vary outside of UK working hours.

Can I cancel if I don’t like Trail?

Yes, if you’re not completely happy you can cancel anytime. Just contact us and we'll send you a cancellation form wishing you a fond farewell 😢

Can I upgrade/downgrade my plan?

You can upgrade or downgrade anytime through the plans page in the app.

How can I pay for Trail?

You can sign up by credit card via Stripe on our website. For large customers we also offer Direct Debit payment. In special circumstances we can discuss invoice payment.

How is my subscription calculated?

Our plans are priced per site, with unlimited users at no extra cost. Sites can be switched to inactive in the app so you won’t get billed while you’re setting sites up or during temporary closures.

Is my data secure?

Data security and privacy is our number one priority. We carry out automated and manual testing on a regular basis meaning our uptime is 99.99%. We comply with both current UK Data Protection laws and upcoming changes to GDPR. The app is hosted on the same technology as Facebook. There’s more detail in our privacy policy.

What equipment will we need?

Trail works on any modern browser.  Staff can use their own devices, or if you’re not ready for that, then we recommend mini tablets or large phones. There are some great Asus 8" that are cheap and durable when put in a solid case. We generally recommend 2 devices per site - Kitchen and Front of House - but that’ll depend on your setup. You’ll need wifi, but Trail has an offline mode in case of unreliable connection.

Where do I download the app?

Nowhere! Just login via the website on any modern browser and you’ll be up and running in seconds. It’s fast and works on any device, even offline. Web apps also makes device management much simpler for bigger organisations.

How do users and permissions work?

We know people move around a lot, so unlike other systems we offer unlimited users for complete accountability and security. Create head office users, ops and site managers and team members, each with appropriate permissions.
