We think it’s about time you meet the incredible people who work behind the scenes at Trail.
We’re a group of techies, productivity enthusiasts, creatives, people people and more.
This week we’re introducing you to Eóin Fitzpatrick, a UX designer here at Trail.
I have a BA in Product Design and also a Masters in Interaction Design. After a few short internships in Dublin, I then worked in banking for 3 years before making the jump over to my user experience (UX) designer role here at Trail.
I’m a UX designer which means that I work on new features and updates which aim to simplify the user experience for our customers while using Trail.
I work with the wider product team, speaking to internal team members and customers who are using Trail everyday to work out different ways to improve the product. From there I create interactive prototypes to test and get feedback before we set anything live. I also work with the different engineering teams when we are developing new projects and features.
All the work I do is essentially aimed at improving Trail and making the product as easy to use as possible.
My favourite value here has to be the ‘Reflect’ ethos. It gives an opportunity to think about recent highlights or things that have gone well or not so well, which makes for a good opportunity to learn from the rest of the team.
Reflect:
We make time to step back from the day-to-day to reflect. We look back without blame, we learn and move on. We listen to feedback, practice humility and are open to being wrong. We seek continual improvement of ourselves, each other and Trail.
Hands down seeing three colleagues fall out of Kayak into the Regent’s Canal in London on my first Trail Trip 🛶
