Today, we’re introducing you to Lilly Molloy; an Account Executive here at Trail.
I first started working in hospitality when I was 16 - I was a waitress for a gastro pub that now uses Trail, funnily enough! From there I worked in numerous pubs, bars and restaurants before going to York Uni to study Environmental Science.
After leaving York, I went on to work as a Sales Executive at Mercedes Benz, which I totally loved. I didn’t feel quite fulfilled enough in the role though, so then went back to uni to study Equine Business Management at Warwick. Whilst at uni, I was working as an assistant Thoroughbred Bloodstock Agent. COVID hit, so I moved to London and started working for a tech startup, which then led me down the startup path, right to Trail - and here I am.
I’m an Account Executive, I take our customers through the Trial sign up and activation journey. Taking them through from their very first enquiry, figuring out where Trail can benefit them, to then finally signing them up and joining the Trail family.
There are too many to choose from! But I think what stands out for me would be that we are all treated and valued as human beings rather than just ‘employees’. Trail has the best understanding of work/life balance and totally respects their team members. I have also never worked anywhere with a culture as wonderful as here - it really does feel like we are a family that cares for each other on both personal and professional levels.
Work and stop. ‘We support people to work flexibly wherever they are their happiest and most productive - at home, at the office or from travels afar. We're family friendly and not afraid of the less-traveled path if it holds true to our values. We're respectful of working hours, avoiding presentee-ism and messaging out of hours.’
Writing a list at the beginning of the day and planning it out before starting anything. Sitting down and prioritising urgent tasks, numbering them and ticking them off my list really helps to structure my day - every tick feels like a little win and gives a small sense of achievement.
There have been so many already! I guess some of the best moments are when I’m on demos with customers from all over the world and Trail really solves a problem for them. I also love the concept of meeting new people, from all walks of life, from all over the world - just from a simple Trail demo. It’s a great feeling!
