We’re fortunate enough to be involved with a number of brilliant causes, ultimately aiming to support and uplift initiatives that are important to us as a team. We work with charities, not-for-profit organisations and businesses that impact real change. In our ‘Trail Causes’ series, we’ll be sharing some more information on the different organisations we’re working with.

Next up, it’s Ecologi.

In 2020 Trail made a pledge to plant 500,000 trees by 2030, working with Ecologi to do so. Included within LinkedIn’s list of Top 15 UK Startups of 2022, Ecologi are a UK-based organisation who support sustainable initiatives and reforestation projects all around the world.

We feel passionately about the impact streamlining operations can have on businesses, and part of that is cutting the huge paper waste for customers who are not yet using software like Trail to digitise day-to-day processes.

How does it work? It’s easy - each month for every site that’s using Trail, we plant a tree.

… and it’s going well! At the time of writing, we’ve helped plant more than 72,000 trees, placing us on the top 100 leaderboard for most trees planted with Ecologi. We’ve helped to offset 320.06 tonnes of CO2, equating to more than 794,065 miles driving in a car or roughly 246 long haul flights. As part of our contribution, we’ve also supported Ecologi fund wind projects in Honduras, improvements to the efficiency of the metro transport system in India and have helped to preserve parts of the Amazon rainforest.

You can see a list of the projects we’ve supported and how we’re doing on our Ecologi homepage here.
