The initiative combines a set of off-the-shelf food safety checks approved by Milton Keynes Council with Trail’s smart checklist app to ensure teams know exactly what needs to be done and when. With this initiative, Trail aims to make food safety fast, friendly, and simple.
By establishing a Primary Authority Partnership with Milton Keynes Council, businesses will be able to use Trail as a complete food safety management system. Businesses entering into the scheme will have peace of mind that they are operating with full compliance and will be respected by regulators across the country.
Trail’s user friendly app presents a simple list of tasks for teams to follow, only showing the right tasks to the right people at the right time. Tasks can be easily distributed from a central location to all sites without the need for emails or phone calls. When tasks are completed they are time and date-stamped with the name of the person completing them. This improves accountability and gives operators real-time visibility into what’s happening across all their sites.
“We see food safety as a critical part of the working day. But too often it’s considered separate to the rest of operations. We want compliance to facilitate and empower staff, and to build habits not audits.”
“There are limited options for off-the-shelf food safety management systems. Paper is obviously outdated, and other systems are a nightmare for staff to use. Trail meets consumer expectations in the workplace.”
